A one-on-one relationship with a Peer Instructor (PI) is intended to help them with lesson planning, course execution, class observation, and an end of the semester evaluation. Generally speaking, Faculty Mentors act as an educational resource for the PI to assist them to successfully complete the tasks and requirements necessary for the FYRE course. Totally, Faculty Mentors can expect to spend 5 – 10 hours per semester with these responsibilities. Peer Instructors will self-select Faculty Mentors. Faculty Mentors should be full-time faculty.
